Position Description

PEDIATRIC OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST (PART-TIME)

Our center provides Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy for children and adolescents with Autism Spectrum Disorders, communication and motor delays, learning disabilities, and other social, language and cognitive deficits.

· We are looking for an Occupational Therapist who has a passion for working with the pediatric population including and is willing to grow and move into a leadership position that supervises other fellow OTs in the center. Must be a licensed OT with experience in treating motor deficits and sensory dysregulation.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

§ Evaluation of the client’s current therapeutic, rehabilitative, and functional status.

§ Completing necessary treatment planning requirements for insurance companies.

§ Development and implementation of the occupational treatment plan of care.

§ Re-evaluating client progress and revising the plan of care as necessary.

§ Collaboration with multidisciplinary team when applicable.

§ Submitting accurate clinical notes regarding patient evaluation and attainment of goals.

§ Monitor client for reactions to treatment or changes in condition, discussing changes with the patient/family/caregiver and reporting changes as necessary.

§ Assist the caregivers/families, other professionals in providing continuity of care.

§ Provide supervision for clinical students and/or volunteers.

§ Assisting in supporting department growth through developing and conducting in-service training programs.

§ Assisting in developing strategic and long-range plans for the program. May also be required to participate in case reviews, medical consultation staffing, and school multidisciplinary team/staffing.

§ Maintaining respectful and professional relationships with staff in both the administrative departments and the clinical department.

§ Maintain respectful and professional relationships with clients and their families.

§ Maintain confidentiality about clients, families, and center by abiding by all HIPPA regulations.

Requirements

§ Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent.

§ Currently registered and licensed by the State of TX or eligible for licensure.

§ Pediatric experience preferred.

Pre-Employment Screening:

§ We are a child-focused and insurance credentialed company; therefore, employment is dependent on a clear criminal background check (Federal, State, and County), the verification of two employment references and the results of a pre-employment drug screening.

Schedule:
Hours of Operation: Monday 9:00am-6:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday 8:45am-6:00pm, Friday 8:45am-5:00pm.

Starting Part-Time (10-12 billable hours) with possibility for greater hours as enrollment continues.

Position Wage:

§ $41.00 - $55.00 per hour DOE
